The series of special Holy Week services concluded with a Sunday full of hope and spiritual challenge under the powerful theme: “Feed My Sheep.” More than a simple closing, the message became a living commission for every believer: to live the resurrection by serving and caring for others.
The service began with songs of praise exalting Christ’s victory over death, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and celebration. However, the heart of the message went beyond the joy of the resurrection to its transforming purpose.
The central passage was John 21:15-17, where the resurrected Jesus confronts Peter not with reproach but with a commission: “Feed My Sheep.” “The resurrection is not just an event to remember, it is a life of following Christ’s path with a firm identity in the Lord as children of God,” said Pastor Luisa Rivas. “The risen Jesus calls His disciples not to remain in awe, but to move in obedience.”
The focus was clear: just as Peter was restored for a mission, so today each believer is called to care for, guide, and spiritually nourish others. The resurrection does not end at the empty tomb; it continues in every act of love, every transformed life, every sheep fed.
At the close, there was a call to respond personally to the voice of Jesus: “Do you love Me? Then feed My sheep.” The congregation responded with commitment, understanding that following the risen Christ means embracing His pastoral heart for others.
The service ended in prayer, with a deep sense of being sent. It was not simply about concluding a series of events, but about beginning a life of practical, active resurrection committed to the Kingdom of God.
