The service began with songs of praise exalting Christ’s victory over death, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and celebration. However, the heart of the message went beyond the joy of the resurrection to its transforming purpose.
The central passage was John 21:15-17, where the resurrected Jesus confronts Peter not with reproach but with a commission: “Feed My Sheep.” “The resurrection is not just an event to remember, it is a life of following Christ’s path with a firm identity in the Lord as children of God,” said Pastor Luisa Rivas. “The risen Jesus calls His disciples not to remain in awe, but to move in obedience.”
The focus was clear: just as Peter was restored for a mission, so today each believer is called to care for, guide, and spiritually nourish others. The resurrection does not end at the empty tomb; it continues in every act of love, every transformed life, every sheep fed.
