On April 16, leaders Matias Quero and Yohana Ríos continued being trained by Pastor Moisés. The day’s training consisted of analyzing the order of services, activities and events we have in our churches, so they are carried out respecting church tradition, and with the distinction and purpose each of these services and events have.
The training began with a call to value the meanings of the different services, activities and events we have in church, making clear that as leaders we must keep in mind the meanings of each of these, so they are not done just for compliance, but that the deep meaning behind each way of doing things is understood, something all members should be aware of, to teach newcomers to the Faith to value the meaning behind everything we do – they are not mere rituals, but order and traditions that help us deeply understand and respect the moment we are distinguishing.
The leaders expressed understanding the importance of valuing traditions and the established order for every activity conducted.
The training continued analyzing the leaders’ knowledge regarding order in the different events, services and activities of the organization. They demonstrated having basic knowledge of these aspects, though deeper understanding was provided about the meaning of each one.
Activities were divided into three according to how regularly they occur, beginning with annual events, highlighting among them the Easter Retreat, Pentecost, Summer Retreat, the Assembly with the Organization’s Anniversary, the Thanksgiving activity and Christmas; Then we began analyzing occasional events, like retreats different from those mentioned, OLI, Mission Conference and trainings like ON and Leadership trainings; we also analyzed weekly ones, which include the Shepherd Meeting and Wednesday, Friday and Sunday Services; lastly, among daily activities we find Morning Devotions. Other activities conducted when appropriate include Church Anniversary services, Fellowship Anniversary services, Mission Anniversaries and Family Church Day.
All these activities, services and events were studied by the leaders in detail, according to church tradition and Faith and Order.
Let us pray that leaders carry out all activities, services and events properly, not just for compliance but out of love for understanding the value order adds to these services, respecting every detail to do it with excellence, out of love for God.
