Day 2: United Venezuela; Testimonies of Hope and Restoration Christmas Retreat at OC Venezuela

During this second day of retreat at OC Venezuela, great events were experienced that deeply marked the hearts of the members, allowing them to experience the flow of God’s love. The day began with a community breakfast, then with a time of praise, reflection and words. The afternoon was marked by fellowship among the brothers, and the night by a time of prayer and reconciliation, on the terrace of the OC where some members prepared a bonfire.

The moment of the night was the most moving of all. Many members, after the prayer time, talked and went from one place to another to ask for forgiveness and sealed this moment with a big hug. We believe that this is an awakening for the mission in Venezuela, where with great hope and faith we will advance to bear great fruit this 2025.

Testimony of Pastor Manuel Duque: This Retreat is a response from God to our lives. At one point I thought that there was no solution, and the work of God was going to collapse here, our hearts were all closed, but again the grace of the Lord reached us. In these two days of Retreat I have seen how the Lord is literally stripping our interior and is showing us the root of the problem. Today’s teaching was the most forceful, if I do not obey it is because I do not trust in God, this impacted me a lot, if I do not trust it is because I do not love Him, nor do I want to obey His Commandments.

My wife, Miriam, and I spoke because in the middle of sharing the bread, my tears came and my desire was to sincerely ask for forgiveness from everyone. She shared with me that the atmosphere was so wonderful that she is certain that the Lord himself is guiding everything. .

Testimony of Pastor Abilio Suarez: In these days of messages I find a powerful reminder of my dependence on God. Whether at the wedding of Cana, the sacrifice of Isaac, or the battles of Joshua, there is one constant: my efforts are insufficient without God’s intervention. I can plan and fight, but I can also fail, God invites me to recognize my limitations and rest in His grace. It is in obedience and faith that I can experience His transformation in my life. I must empty my pride and trust fully in His love, knowing that even when I doubt or fall, His purpose for me will be fulfilled if I surrender to Him.

Testimony of Luianny Lanz. In this time of retreat I have been able to see the hand of God touching and transforming everything, I have seen how the Holy Spirit has touched everyone’s hearts, personally mine. His mercy has been towards me and it has made me see that there are many things in me that I must improve. I hope to be able to walk this path of the cross well, denying myself and dying to everything that does not allow me to have a true renewed life in Christ Jesus.

We believe that it is a time of restoration for Venezuela, where it is reborn from the ruins, God removes all pain, and cleanses the hearts of resentment and disappointment, and placing a new heart full of love and hope with the passion to serve in the Kingdom of God.
