OA SAm: New Standards for National Leaders

On December 2, the South American national leaders met to resume the pace of their work for God’s mission in the region. The main purpose of the meeting was to challenge the leaders to raise their standards, in order to show our determination to the Lord by showing Him our deep desire for genuine revival. The 3 main points that the above consists of are shared below:

01 A higher standard of Devotion. OA South America wishes to rise to a new spiritual level to be able to endure the challenges that are included in the commission by the Lord entrusted to us, his disciples. To guide our members to follow the 3:3:3 standard well, we leaders assume 3:3:3:3; which include:

01.1 Devotional Life. Meditation on the word of God and prayer for 3 hours daily (the most important point).

01.2 Biblical Teaching. National leaders must learn that to guide others down a path, we must first walk it. That is why they are challenged to be fruitful examples and give 240 Bible studies a month.

01.3 The Report. Through 3 Olivet News stories per day per country, and 1 additional where they report their personal follow-up, progress on goals, fulfillment of objectives, and their vision for the country.

01.4 Administrative Work. To achieve the objectives, it is required that they promptly attend to important issues per country without excuses, or postpone what must be quickly attended to administratively.

02 A higher standard of Dedication. “This is not about productivity, it is about keeping the position of our hearts before the Lord.” Starting in December, South American leaders will maintain a new standard by working focused on mission issues 12 hours daily. Through this focused effort, we will train regional leaders to show more seriousness and commitment to the work of the Lord.

03 A higher standard of Care. At this point, the representative seeks to personally know the status of each of its members and take care of them by: (a) Motivating them, (b) Praying for them and with them, (c) Reminding them of the vision of the Kingdom of God, (d) Evangelizing in groups with them, modeling the life of Christ for them, (d) Constantly meeting with them and involving them in their daily activities, forming new leaders, and (e) Creating close bonds of love and service to establish this world in them.

We ask for your prayers so that by the grace of the Lord, South American national and regional leaders can walk well along this path of faith, with a determined and devoted heart before God.
