The discipleship leaders of Latin America met to receive initial guidance to begin the execution of the discipleship plan.
After the review and reorganization of the Discipleship Network, Pastor Daniela Ortiz shared with the key leaders of the countries the importance of caring for and discipling the Latin members for spiritual and emotional growth during their missionary development. Remembering Jesus’ call in the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, the leaders were encouraged to obey this call that we have inherited. It is important to keep the principles taught in the Bible regarding discipleship in order to replicate biblical leadership. Discipleship, in addition to a study of the Word, also involves sharing lives just as Jesus did with his disciples. The Apostle Paul formed leaders who were capable of forming other leaders and in this way inherit a spiritual maturity. The ultimate goal is to be able to teach members the Word but also the practical way of living biblical principles and a life of faith.
Later, the outline of the organization of discipleships by country was reviewed and the practical ways in which times of care can be prepared in order to have more effective care. The study material that will be carried out in the discipleships was also shared, which will be focused on purity and holiness initially.
It is expected to monitor the progress of the discipleships and also conduct training for the discipleship leaders once a month in order to strengthen the leaders in their maturity and in this way they can guide the other leaders and members in the best way.
