Leaders from Olivet Assembly (OA) South America shared their remarks on their recent participation of the Olivet Leadership Institute (OLI) program which took place in various locations across the region.
The OLI is a leadership program that trains current OA church leaders and aspiring leaders in various areas including church-planting, shepherding, mission outreach, apologetics, pneumatology, and more.
In this occasion, the OLI took place from April 2 – 4 in the locations of La Paz, Bolivia; Araçariguama, Brazil; Bogotá, Colombia; and Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela.
Leaders from both Chile and Peru gathered alongside leaders in Bolivia to participate in the training while mission leaders from Paraguay and Uruguay gathered in Brazil to do the same. In the case of Colombia, mission leaders from Ecuador and the Dominican Republic participated in this leadership program while Venezuelan leaders participated amongst themselves.
The OLI lectures that were delivered in this opportunity were followed by short exams that the participants needed to take and pass. At the end of the program a certificate-issuing ceremony took place recognizing the successful completion of the program by the participants.
There was an overwhelming positive response from the leaders towards the overall organization of the program. Many leaders shared that the topics chosen for the lectures were very helpful and they felt they were acquiring very critical tools for doing mission and carrying out shepherding activities.
Many of them expressed it had been the best OLI they had participated in so far.
The next OLI is scheduled to take place on mid-May.
